The Amvet Library is looking for volunteers!  The Amvet Library depends on a volunteer staff, so if you have flexibility with your daytime schedule and want some face-time with your child and his or her teacher, consider volunteering! Students in K-1 visit the library on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Students in grades 2-5 visit on Mondays and Fridays. Each class is assigned a scheduled timeslot for the year.

Volunteering at Amvet Library

 

Volunteering at Amvet's library is a fun and rewarding experience, some of the volunteer responsibilities include:  

​

• Arriving 15 minutes before the scheduled class time to check in books

• Completing overdue notices, and shelving books

• Assisting students during circulation by locating books on the shelves

• Checking out books

• Tidying up the library and ensuring paperwork is completed at the end of the shift (5-10 minutes)

• Assisting with re-organizing the library at the end of the school year.
